Results Here are some interesting statistics from five past elections. The table shows for each state how many electoral votes the Republicans received and how many electoral votes the Democrats received. It also shows what percentage of the voters voted Republican and what percentage of the voters voted Democratic.
For each state, the table shows the number of electoral votes cast for each of the candidates and the proportion of the popular vote cast for each candidate.

Note: You can compare your score at the end of your campaign to other candidates who ran in previous elections. Was your race as close as the one in 2000? Did you get as much of the popular vote as Reagan did in 1984? (In 1984, Reagan had the highest popular vote of all time 54,455,075, and he was the candidate with the highest electoral vote in this same election 525. Reagan carried 49 states in 1984, the same number Nixon carried in the election of 1972.)
