Selecting a Time Limit

Election Day is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Whew! That's a mouthful. Until then, it's stumping season. That's the time when you build support before an election. Before you start, decide how long you want to play. There are three time limits to choose from: beginner campaign, short campaign, and full campaign.

Select a time limit for your campaign by scanning campaign headquarters and clicking the calendar on the wall.

  • Beginner Campaign: You have 7 days before Election Day. Playing a beginner campaign is a good way to familiarize youself with some of the basics of the campaign-- scanning headquarters, traveling on the campaign bus, scheduling time, buying advertising, etc.

  • Short Campaign: You have 30 days before Election Day. This campaign begins October 4, 2004. You can easily visit 30 states in that time.

Hint: To visit more than 30 states, you will have to know some geography and plan your campaign stops carefully.

  • Full Campaign: Beginning on Labor Day September 4, 2004, you have 60 days until Election Day. Visiting all 50 states is certainly possible, and so is visiting some states more than once.
